Today’s visit was riddled with success and a slight dusting of frustration. Yale locks can go fuck themselves. After purchasing said lock today, I could not get the little motherfucker installed for love nor money. In fact I have brought it home in order to try and figure out how in the living fuck it actually works. Stay tuned.
Apart from failing to make the boat pikey-proof I did manage to get two other jobs out of the way. I replaced the old door, and it fits both height and width wise. Success!
One of today’s goals was to fit new drainage plugs which I bought from a local chandlery late last week. I didn’t get around to fitting those today, but they will be fitted later this week.
The second task of the day was to unistall the plywood dash in order to paint that part of the boat. The reason I wanted to do so was to see how well thegrey faux leather matched the black paint. It looks smart, but it’s not “popping” as much as I’d hoped. Jury is out on that one for the moment.
