This’ll shut Zed up.
Zed has been nagging about not understanding my plan. So I promised him a drawing to try and explain what it is I am trying to do. Be warned, my art is shit. In fact I could have gotten Booger to draw it for me and he’d have done a better job, but then he’d also have added aliens and almost definitely a train. I don’t want those of you following this story to get distracted so I drew it instead. Looking good eh?
Dude, that looks like it was before, only worse!
Not quite, the more eagle-eyed will have noticed the new windows, the higher roof (by a foot all over) apart from the back section of the cabin which is a bit higher. Also note the shiny new engine/outboard on the back. So clearly I’m not restoring the boat to a sail boat I’m more pimping my floaty motherfucker.
Oh speaking of engines, of course I don’t have one yet that’s just an artist’s impression of what it may look like. I’ve been doing some research. I needed to find out what size engine would be appropriate for my boat. Opinion is divided across the internet. Boat Wankers everywhere seem to have been arguing over how to work this out for a long while. Through all the veiled disdain I have managed to sort of work out that a 75hp outboard should be enough for my boat. Possibly even too much. Rather too much than too little say I.
I’ve also been trying to figure out how heavy these outboards are because there’s a chance it may make my boat back heavy and I’ll be popping wheelies or boaties or hullies or whatever the nautical equivalent is. I think it’ll be ok. They’re pretty darned expensive brand new and I’m not the type of person to buy used just because it may be cheaper.
Dude you bought a boat off of eBay for £82!
Looking forward to this weekend where I’ll have 4 days of just pure pottering around with the boat. See you then.
