And you know what that means! Booby time! Boat time!
I was down at the boat today to get a few bits and pieces done before the weekend to save from having to do it then.
- Covered up 3 additional holes (in the hull) with tarpaulin. I’m trying to stop as much water as possible getting in. 3 holes have been named Pork Pie 1, Pork Pie 2 and Spongebob. On that note, I completely removed any water that was in the boat, hopefully for the last time. That’s 3 more backing plates I need to make. Fibreglassing is not a cheap sub-hobby let me tell you!
- Moved the boat because Dolly was getting too stalkerish and the boat was rubbing up against the tree and there’s now a bit of damage on the hull.
- Got rid of all the leaves on the boat and trimmed the tree down and had a quick tidy up.
- The Meth Lab has been in full production during the week too! This is going better than even I could ever have expected. Although these bits have been relatively easy, I’ve made a start on Cock Slot too and that’s involved having to stitch various bits of fibreglass together to get the desired size. I’ll probably need a second layer. Which will be easier than the first. I hope. Yes, it’s a floppy Cock Slot but that’s because the table I am using is not big enough. The overhang has already cured. These bits don’t have to be perfect, they’re only backing plates for the holes.
