Is preparing to flail
No it’s not a typo. Up until now I’ve been thinking/working on my feet but it’s gotten to the stage where I perhaps need to do a little preparation. That said the hours and hours of solitude working on the boat, a plan or at least plans have started to formulate in my head over time and it’s time to at least attempt to put them into practice.
So this weekend I have a list of jobs I want completed so next weekend I can at least put the primer coat on below the waterline. If you’ve been following the last few posts carefully you’ll know I’ve been trying to complete the job of removing the superstructure completely. The only real big part remaining of that is at the bow where fuckwit has glassed it to the fucking hull. Have I mentioned how much that irritates me?
Once I’ve finally got that off the next job is to make sure that part of the hull is sanded down to the actual fibreglass. The next job then is to fill all the holes that I’ve drilled into the hull at the top along with the holes that fuckwit put there. Once that’s done I need to cut out the white fittings on the transom and then cut out the fitting where the spinny thing was. Apparently it’s called the log. In normal non boat wankers terms it’s essentially the speedometer of the boat. Or at least it’s the fitting where the speedometer was. Fucking log. Does this heap of shit actually look like the Starship Enterprise?
Anyway once that’s done I need to actually finish filling the area where the keel came off. Remember Octosphincter? Yeah that. Once that’s done I have to to tape off the waterline itself so I don’t sand off the markings. I’m then going to have to fire up the trusty sander and get the hull smooth enough to get the first coat of primer on. There are a few gouges and scratches I have to sort too so those will be done at the same time. That’s more than enough work for the weekend I think. Anyway, I know some of you are illiterate cockgoblins so have a series of pictures summarising all of the text above. Oh yeah, FedEx actually pulled finger and delivered the primer… Read the fucking label, if that makes any sense then you’re a better person than I am.
